Provenace: - Jindrich Styrsky devised the painting to Toyen, who took it out to Paris and kept it till her death in 1980. - In 1982 on the auction of Toyen’s succession in Paris the painting was bought by a significant collector of world surrealism from Limoges (there is a stamp “Succession Toyen” on the back of the painting) - Private collection This painting is the ikon of Czech modern painting, it is the testament of Jindrich Styrsky’s most significant surrealistic period. No other Styrsky’s painting of the comparable artistic value has ever been offered on the Czech artistic market.
