The painter was active in Prague. He was the son of Kristian Grund, the painter of the court of Kolowrat. He got pieces of knowledge during the educational journey to Austria, Italy and Germany. He was influenced by work of Viennese author Franz de Paul Ferg. Norbert Grund is one of the most significant painters of rococo genre of European avail.The largest set of Grund’s works is placed in the National Gallery in Prague. His other works are documented in collections of European muzeums and galleries (Vienna, Berlin, Paris, and London).
