I am looking and turning my head

During 1970’s Karel Malich changed his view of art a lot and he came to the very marked position, which was very unique in the history of 20th century Czech art. The most important phase of his work is the period between the three-dimensional wire sculpture “Ještě jedno pivo, prosím” (One more beer, please), 1976 and “Lidskokosmické spojení” (Human-space connection), 1984-88. The wire sculpture “Dívám se a pootočil jsem hlavu” also belongs to this period. It is reproduced under the number 17 in Karel Malich’s exhibition catalogue for Museum Fridericianum Kassel and Kunsthalle Krems.
