A.Derain and P. Picaso both were examples for many painters in France and abroad after the world war one. Their strong influence was also seen in the Czech Republic, mainly in Mánes association. The similar picture SOUS-BOIS, 1922–23, is exposed in the National Gallery Praque and together with other excellent pictures it is a part of A. Darien’s separate exposition. The whole French collection is brag of the National Gallery. André Derain at his time was thought the biggest living artist.
